The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ý is pleased to announce that Michael Hamersky has been appointed to serve as the Executive Director of the Pace Energy and Climate Center. In addition to leading the Center, he will teach Natural Resources Law at the Law School. Over nearly four decades, the Pace Energy and Climate Center has established itself as a national leader working at the intersection of energy and the environment.
ý Art Gallery is pleased to present Anthology: Contemporary Narrative Art from the Lise Curry Collection, a faculty/student-curated exhibition celebrating the generous bequest of more than 200 works of art from collector Lise Curry. The exhibition opens with a free public reception on Friday, June 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will remain on view through September 13, 2025.
The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ý is pleased to announce that Imre Szalai, a nationally-known scholar focusing on arbitration and the Federal Arbitration Act, will join the faculty as a full Professor of Law with tenure beginning in Fall 2025. Professor Szalai will teach courses on contracts, commercial arbitration, civil procedure, and legal ethics.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ý celebrated the graduation of 284 students at its 47th Commencement Ceremony on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York. New York City Fire Department (FDNY) Commissioner Robert S. Tucker, a distinguished public servant and a proud Haub Law alumnus from the Class of 1996, delivered a powerful and heartfelt commencement address to graduates, and received the Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, the highest honor conferred by the Law School, recognizing his lifelong contributions to public service, public safety and the legal profession.
Standing before thousands of graduates and their supporters at ýýs Commencement, urged the Class of 2025 to embrace change, pursue purpose, and think entrepreneuriallyýno matter their field of study.
On April 28, 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at ý hosted a landmark symposium entitled ýObligations for Perpetual Peace and Friendship: The Treaties of the Lenape Nation.ý The event marked the first time that the treaties between the Lenape and the United States were collected and studied. The Law School is situated in what was the Lenape community of Quaroppas, today White Plains, part of their ancestral homeland, Lenapehoking.
