Biography
Stefen R. Short is a Supervising Attorney at the Prisonersý Rights Project of The Legal Aid Society (ýPRPý), a litigation unit that challenges constitutional violations and unlawful conditions in jails and prisons in New York, and advocates for individual prisoners on matters including access to medical care and mental health treatment, safety, and protection from violence. Stefen supervises PRPýs litigation and advocacy on behalf of people incarcerated in New Yorkýs prisons. Previously, he was a Staff Attorney at Disability Rights New York. Stefen is a magna cum laude graduate of Albany Law School of Union University.
