򽴫ý has proudly partnered with the New York State Department of Transportation򽴫ýs 511NY Rideshare program to enhance sustainable commuting options for our students. This collaboration aims to promote carpooling and other alternative transportation methods, making it easier for students to connect with peers who share similar commutes. By leveraging the resources and tools provided by 511NY, such as ride-matching services and information on public transit, Pace students can reduce their travel costs, alleviate traffic congestion, and contribute to a healthier environment. This initiative not only fosters a sense of community among students but also aligns with the university򽴫ýs commitment to sustainability and responsible living.

Junior Natasha Depaoli and Yamilet Ulerio have been commuting together since their freshmen year at pace. Natasha and Yamilet live close to each other, making it easy for them to commute to campus together. Plus, one of them can򽴫ýt drive so 򽴫ýit򽴫ýs easier to get to campus this way.򽴫ý

Some of the main benefits to carpooling is the fact that they 򽴫ýsave money on gas, are not alone on the car ride, and it򽴫ýs convenient!򽴫ý They also love that they have someone to talk to during a lengthy commute, especially when stuck in traffic!
